Dr. Edward Gross, who was working with International Church Mission, was asked to be the founder and President of Vanguard. The ministry was headquartered in Vista, California as Ed went through several international open doors in discipleship, evangelism and church-planting throughout the world. In 2005, Vanguard moved to Columbia, South Carolina where two other families joined the ministry. In 2009, Vanguard became an independent ministry with the full blessing of Ripe for Harvest. Today, Vanguard has served the Lord on nearly every continent It has been both a challenge and a great joy to see God move in the lives of pastors and church leaders in China, India, Nepal, Nagaland, Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Tanzania, Liberia, Ukraine, Moldova, England, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, Peru, Belize and the United States. This ministry is God’s ministry. He called it into being, He directs it, He leads, guides and empowers us. And He is moving in the lives of Ask God how He wants to involve you in His work!
