Our goal is to honor the work already done by the Spirit of God in raising up churches, pastors, missionaries and evangelists throughout the world, and to help them expand and extend the Kingdom of God. We help the churches that the Sovereign Spirit of God has already raised up to plant new ones. After these two millennia of church history, the valiant efforts of missionaries, evangelists, preachers, pastors, teachers and millions of unsung heroes who spread the flame of the faith have resulted in a burgeoning church throughout the world. As this church has matured, the role of missionaries has changed in many lands to that of facilitator. It is our hope that Vanguard can be in a position to make a strategic difference in the effort to help the Body of Christ throughout the world to be established and grow. We do that by focusing on Christ’s chosen leaders, namely the pastors and teachers He has given to His Church (Eph.4:11-12) around the world. Vanguard works through these leaders as the key people in their congregations and regions to mobilize God’s spiritually reproductive and multiplicative processes for the church. The Great Commission thus advances through these leaders. This reflects the pastor’s primary role as God’s Spearhead in developing the rest of the congregation and helping the entire work of God move forward in a given area. Conversely, if the pastor is not trained or developed, or does not understand his responsibility to disciple and develop others, the work of God will be at a standstill in his church. And this will hamper the work of God in the region, and dampen the fire of revival.
